Dr. Kunal Parekh, MD, FASN, is a board-certified nephrologist with a deep commitment to patient care and medical education. Originally from India, Dr. Parekh moved to the United States at the age of six and grew up in New York City. He completed his medical training at prestigious institutions, including New York Medical College and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Since establishing his practice on Oahu, Dr. Parekh has become a leader in the field, serving as Chief of the Division of Nephrology at Queen’s Health Systems.
Dr. Parekh’s approach to medicine is rooted in understanding each patient’s unique journey. He emphasizes substantial lifestyle interventions, meticulous management of risk factors, and evidence-based pharmacotherapy, empowering patients to take an active role in their health.
In his free time, Dr. Parekh enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, hiking, and exploring the scenic trails of Hawaii.
