Our mission is to provide the best medical care to people with kidney disease. At Oahu Kidney Care, we are driven by a single purpose: to deliver unparalleled care to those with kidney disease. Our values are rooted in patient-centered care, where each individual is treated with respect, compassion, and the highest level of professionalism. We understand that the best care goes beyond treating the disease; it involves caring for the whole person.
Why Choose Us
Patients choose Oahu Kidney Care because we prioritize what matters most to them. We believe that the best doctor is one who listens, understands, and collaborates with their patients. Our philosophy is simple yet profound: we treat each patient as we would our own family. This approach ensures that every decision is made with your best interest at heart, using the latest medical evidence and a personalized treatment plan.
A Brief History of Our Practice
Dr. Kunal Parekh founded Oahu Kidney Care in 2018 with a vision of providing top-tier nephrology care in Hawaii. Located in Queens POB1 in downtown Honolulu, our practice has quickly become a trusted name in kidney care, known for its commitment to excellence and patient-focused care. Under Dr. Parekh’s leadership, Oahu Kidney Care has expanded its services to include comprehensive kidney care, dialysis management, and advanced hospital consultations.
Philosophy of Care
My approach to medicine is rooted in a deep understanding of each patient’s unique journey. Effective treatment begins with recognizing what’s important to the individual— understanding their goals and challenges. This insight guides my holistic care strategy, encompassing a patient-centered approach involving a multidisciplinary team. I emphasize substantial lifestyle interventions tailored to individual needs and meticulous management of patient-specific risk factors. Additionally, my treatment plans are reinforced by evidence-based pharmacotherapy, ensuring that every decision aligns with the latest medical guidelines. This comprehensive methodology not only treats conditions but also empowers patients to take an active role in their health.
